Worldwide food recipe card game

‘Yumyum’ is a card game for understanding the difference of food culture.
Understanding a country’s food is a significant factor because foods reflect their country’s cultural and historical factors.

we were able to learn the capital cities of the world naturally.

SURVEY

People who came from various countries draw their traditional dish table.
The table image will be reflected in the game and the specific menu will be the composition of food and element cards.

Recipes study

Based on the survey, finding food at 'BBC Food' and the ingredients of each food were summarized.

Finding the same materials among the foods and rearranged.
Simplified ingredients composition to make it easy for people to remember.  
Most of the ingredients were extracted from 2 to 5 of foods also the number on the menu was reduced.

Through the ‘Yum Yum’ card game,
people can understand the other country's food more naturally.
It consists largely of ingredient cards and a recipe guide about 16 countries.

It is a game in which the person who completes the combination of the ingredient cards wins.
These combinations are based on a receipt guide of worldwide menus.

Player refer recipes guide to finding a combination of elements and menus are organized by continent.
This visual guide concept is re
ceipt, so player be able to check the combination of the menu more familiar.

GAME SCENARIO

Designed a game rule by referring to three games below.

5 cards are dealt with each player, and the 5 cards are on the table.

The player flips the top card from the deck in order.

Looking for a card combination, the player needs to complete the ‘turkey menu’ combination (Include your own five cards).
Bonus cards that player holding can be substituted for lamb ingredient.

When the combination is complete, place the cards flip over.
If a player could not find a combination of elements, they can skip their turn.

In this way, the player who plays all their cards out wins the game.

Taiwan, Korea and Brazil players played ‘YUMYUM’ game two times, and they gave feedback about the game.

GOOD POINT.

 People quickly understood the rules and proceeded to play the game.

During the game, players naturally spoke about their favourite foods.

Players said that this game is exciting and worth for enjoyment. The more people involved, the more fun it will be.
IMPROVEMENT POINT.

 The recipe guide was little small, making it difficult to read at first.

They want that menu is more varied.
(It takes a long time until the desired card comes out)

People can enjoy understanding the other country's food and culture
and it also gives the opportunity to be interested in the country.
As continue to play, the players could remember the combination without the recipe guide.
They can understand various foods more naturally.
